Dunsmuir Redevelopment
This 5 storey, 32-unit condominium building is located near Esquimalt’s waterfront community and harbour views are prominent throughout. Comprised of a variety of unit types ranging from one to three bedrooms, this project was envisioned with inclusivity in mind and completed in November 2020. The underground parking serves as a podium for a planted plaza which will help to mitigate storm water run-off and maximize the overall green space on the site. To encourage community interaction, a common patio area is located on the plaza facing the street. Generous wrap around balconies address the corner condition of the site and help to provide a human scale and connection to the neighbourhood. There are a number of special project features which help to address climate change, including a rooftop PV array, 100% EV ready parking stalls, construction to Built Green standard, HRV’s installed, generous bike parking, one year transit passes for each resident, and Modo car share per unit, to name a few.
