This commercial building is located at a critical intersection of Colwood Corners and was nominated for the 25th Annual Commercial Building Awards 2016 for Commercial – Retail category. Ashrae 90.1 was exceeded for insulation requirements to improve overall performance and help reduce energy consumption. Awnings also contribute to the improved performance by preventing overheating from unwanted solar gain. The rain garden collects storm water from the roof and hard surfaces where it is detained and slowly released back into an existing aquifer.
